stateROTYThe Berkshire County Board of REALTORS® is proud to recognize many worthy members, organizations and citizens of Berkshire County for outstanding service to our association and our community. Some of the most important achievements are made through the efforts of normally unsung heroes and in this, we are honored to show overdue recognition of their good work.

In addition to offering our thanks and appreciation to various individuals throughout the year, we also annually select a few very deserving REALTORS® for Berkshire County Awards.

Distinguished Service Award

The Distinguished Service award is the highest honor a REALTOR® can receive and is the ultimate recognition for ongoing, dedicated service of that very special REALTOR® who has always set themselves apart as a leader.  They are individuals who have held membership in the board for 15 years or more, and are recognized as a local leader whose performance of service and involvement on the Board, the local real estate industry, and civic organizations is extraordinary. They are the member who is always called to serve on special task forces and work groups to resolve matters of a critical nature. They are respected by those in the industry and community and are a source of knowledge and experience to business colleagues and within the community. REALTOR of The Year:

The REALTOR of the YEAR award is given to a REALTOR® who has contributed outstanding time and energy to the betterment of the REALTOR® organization, the real estate industry and our Berkshire community during the past 18 months.  The award criteria upon which nominees are judged include service to the REALTOR® organization on the local, state and national levels.  Other factors for consideration are contributions to the community and business accomplishments. Those that are named the Berkshire REALTOR of the Year are members that best exemplify professionalism and service to the industry. Good Neighbor Award:

The Berkshire Good Neighbor Award is given to a REALTOR who has played an instrumental volunteer role in the success of any local civic, charitable, cultural, youth or school group project or program. REALTOR Spirit Award

The REALTOR Spirit award is given to the REALTOR that consistently demonstrates the ideals that embody the very meaning of the term “REALTOR®”.  The ideal nominee is an unsung hero within the real estate profession who supports other industry practitioners through actions, words and cooperation.  Recipients are known for their strong professional ethics and willingness to go above and beyond in support of the association and the members.  Honorees are known and respected for their optimism and enthusiasm, integrity and work ethic, and civic involvement, charitable contributions, and leadership in the local business community. REALTOR Emeritus Designation

A REALTOR® Member who has held membership in the National Association as a REALTOR®, REALTOR-ASSOCIATE®, or both, for a cumulative period of forty (40) years and has past service to the local, state and national associations.  Criteria and Current REALTOR Emeritus Recipients

Housing Hero Award

The ‘Housing Hero’ award provides individuals, community leaders, legislators and organizations a way to be recognized and rewarded for their contribution in making Berkshire’s housing diverse, affordable, available, sustainable, safe, and/or healthy. The future of our community depends on filling this critical need. Housing Hero Awards may not be awarded every year or it may be awarded to more than one individual / organization. Any individual, elected official, community leader, or organization that meets the criteria listed below is eligible for the recognition regardless of prior recognition received.  Please review the criteria and complete the simple Housing Hero PDF application, and email to Sandy@BerkshireRealtors.org today!

Berkshire Beautification Award

Do you know of a property that was recently renovated or significantly cleaned up to make the neighborhood shine and improve the community? You are invited to submit a nomination for the Berkshire Beautification Award. The Berkshire County Board of REALTORS may grant Beautification Awards to any Berkshire property owner who has been involved in significantly restoring a home or building to contribute to the betterment of the neighborhood. Omega Tau Rho

Created in 1950, the honorary fraternity of OMEGA TAU RHO is awarded by National Association of REALTORS to members and others that serve the REALTOR organization. Once a medallion is awarded, the recipient is a member for life. This award recognizes exemplary dedication and service, and the high esteem in which recipients are held by fellow members of the REALTOR organization.
