2012 & 2025 REALTOR of the YEAR, Andy Perenick

The Berkshire County Board of REALTORS® is pleased to announce Andy Perenick as the 2025 REALTOR® of the Year. This award recognizes a member who has demonstrated exceptional service to the REALTOR® organization, the real estate profession, and the local community. Andy’s contributions reflect his long-standing commitment to professionalism, leadership, and civic engagement. This is the second time he was awarded this honor, the first time in 2012 while serving as the MLS President.

Andy currently serves as the 2025 President of the Board and has been actively involved in both the REALTOR® and MLS leadership for many years. He has held roles on the Board of Directors, chairs the Affiliate Ambassador program, and serves on numerous key committees including MLS, Finance, Personnel, and Government Affairs. He has also served as MLS President in multiple terms and supported new agent development through orientation programs since 2020. He is a great trainer for REALTOR safety with his background in law enforcement.

At the state level, Andy was elected in 2025 as a Massachusetts Association of REALTORS® (MAR) State Director and elected to serve as Western Massachusetts Regional Vice President for the remaining 2025 and 2026–2027 term. He will also serve on the MAR Executive Committee. His participation in the Strategic Planning Refresh Group and major investor of RPAC and MRECA reflect his ongoing engagement with statewide REALTOR® initiatives.

Nationally, Andy has been active through regular participation in the NAR Legislative Meetings in Washington, D.C., and the NAR NXT conventions. As part of the Federal Political Coordinator team for Congressman Richard Neal, he helps represent local concerns at the national level. He has earned both the Fairhaven Certification and C2EX endorsement from the National Association of REALTORS®.

In the community, Andy has served as Chair of the Dalton Board of Health and the Dalton Planning Board, and participated in municipal search committees. He previously received the Civilian Civil Service Award from the Dalton Police Department for his support of local public safety efforts.

While now a proud agent with Lamacchia Realty, Andy also incorporated community service into the culture of his former company, Berkshire Dream Home Real Estate.  In 2023, Andy and his team raised $100,000 through a Give Back Gala to benefit Strong Little Souls, a nonprofit that supports families affected by pediatric cancer.

Andy received the REALTOR® Spirit Award in 2024, and his continued engagement shows a strong commitment to REALTOR® values. He frequently shares ideas, quotes, and resources to encourage others in the profession and has long supported efforts to improve transparency, education, and cooperation among real estate professionals.

We congratulate Andy on being selected as the 2025 REALTOR® of the Year and thank him for his ongoing dedication to the REALTOR® community and to Berkshire County.

Andy holds a real estate brokers license and obtained his accredited buyers representative (ABR) designation. He resides in Dalton with his wife Sarah, and loves to travel to visit his two boys (the light of his life); Alex and Jack.  He rounds a busy life with quick trips with Sarah to Aruba, donning a Hawaiian shirt while checking in on his company, Berkshire U-Drive Pontoon Boat Rentals, or in the winter hopping on his snowmobile and leading crews to groom trails in the beautiful Berkshire Hills.
