Good Work by Berkshire REALTOR Good Neighbors!

In case you missed it…  so much community outreach so far this summer!! Independence Day Parade, Habitat for Humanity Build Day, Juneteenth Celebration, Music Bingo… the fabric of our community.  We had so much being volunteer balloon handlers to support the Pittsfield 4th of July parade! So great to see so many familiar faces and the community coming together to celebrate and take part in a tradition we missed for the past few years. Thanks so coordinator Margaret Apkin of Tucker Associates, Jessie Downer of Berkshire Dream Home, Nick Geranios and Dani Giulian of Jan Perry Realty & Assoc., LLC, Erin Vincent of Bishop West Real Estate, and Franz Forster of FJ Forster Real Estate. Sandy Carroll and brother Brian were on hand with mascot Teddy too.  Once again, making REALTORS shine! (Click for the photo gallery / below)

We also put in some sweat equity during the Habitat for Humanity Build Day.  Despite a tough start when our crew discovered all of the holes were dug in the wrong locations, they dug in literally and finished a series of four fences. Amazing work by everybody. Community Service Chair Eric Steuernagle finished with the finial on top of the fence to represent a job well done by everybody. Mark McIlquham, Sherry Street & Husband Jim of Realty Street, Nick Geranios and Danielle Giulian of Jan Perry Realty & Assoc., LLC. Jessie Downer of Berkshire Dream Home Inc., Natalie Rose of The Kinderhook Group, Inc., Maria Liccardi our event photographer of Berkshire Dream Home, and Diane Thorson and Brian Meyer of ROVI Homes. Shout out to Mary Jane Dunlop and Sandy Carroll for keeping the crew well fed and hydrated.

We were also proud sponsors of the NAACP-Berkshire County Branch’s Juneteenth celebration.  This community event was held this Sunday at Durant Park in Pittsfield and enabled us to participate to learn, celebrate and honor Juneteenth. Juneteenth is a federal holiday in the United States commemorating emancipation of enslaved African Americans. Food, music, vendors and much more we enjoyed, along with fostering great community spirit. Here are the great photos from that event, as taken by iBerkshires.
Our music bingo fundraiser for the emergency housing fund was a massive success… A good time was had by all and we raised $10,921! Thank you to our amazing event sponsors, especially McGee Automotive Family who just purchased a new location at the former Flynn’s in Pittsfield. Also thanks to Bousquet for hosting our event. We love you all!! @realtorsaregoodneighbors. special Thanks to the entire RCS committee and especially Eric Steuernagle Chair and Peter West Event Sponsor Chair for their amazing work raising funds and to the team at Bishop West for getting so many of the raffle prizes!
