Ombudsmen is an informal dispute resolution vehicle that keeps lines of communication open between REALTORS, REALTORS and their clients and REALTORS and other real estate professionals. Typically, performed over the phone, the ombudsmen will assist parties to rectify situations before they spin out of control. Similar to ombudsmen, the mediation process is slightly more formal and is a meeting in a face-to-face discussion with the end goal to have parties determine the outcome.
Trained ombudsmen and mediators are vital to the Professional Standards process. Please attend this program if you just want to learn more, or if you’d like to sign on to be an Ombudsmen/Mediator for the Board.
Pre-registration is required to ensure that enough materials and food are provided. There will be a light breakfast and lunch.
