October Continuing Education: Fundamentals of Sustainable Homes

Join the Green  & Sustainability Guru, Craig Foley, as he presents this newly offered CE class: Fundamentals of Sustainable Homes.  The green/high-performance home market is rapidly evolving in MA. Learn the basics so you can more comfortably communicate the benefits of existing and new homes with high-performance assets like solar, heat pumps, and other technologies that are transforming the real estate marketplace.

Instructor: Craig Foley GREEN, LEED Green Association, NAR EverGreen Award Winner When finished, learners will be able to: Identify the characteristics of a sustainable home; Recognize various sustainability programs that go beyond the minimum building code requirements; Identify ways to increase a home’s sustainability through improving energy, heat, and water efficiency; List various sustainable products and systems, based on third-party certifications, that will increase a home’s energy efficiency and sustainability and reduce its impact on the environment.


Education Policy – All attendees must participate on their own device to receive credit.  The Board of Registration requires that cameras be on at all times, no phone calls during the course of the program.  (If you cannot have your camera on, please contact Sue for further instructions.)  There will be periodic poll questions and participation through chat to assist in verifying attendance.  If you cannot attend, you must cancel at least 24 hours prior to the start of class to avoid a non-attendance fee or to receive a refund of fees paid, if any.
