2018 REACT Taskforce

Because Berkshire Realtors are Awesome, That’s Why!

A REALTOR’s passion is to help all members of our community find a safe place to call home.

The Berkshire County Board of REALTORS applied for and won a grant for Berkshire Children and Families (BCF) Community Center Family Support program from the Massachusetts Association of REALTORs Charitable Foundation.

BCF does amazing work to help parents and families who face housing insecurity.  The staff, some of whom are shown in the photo below, help work through situations such as evictions, missed rent payments, abusive relationships, and location of safe housing, etc.  The Community Center Family Support program sets goals and provides resources to keep families intact or to reclaim family structure while assisting with mediation between families and landlords; searches for safe and appropriate housing; job skills training; daycare and individualized family plans.  They also make sure children find nurturing, safe foster homes when needed and work tirelessly to enhance parenting skills, promote child well-being, strengthen families and secure safe housing.  Bravo!  We are proud to offer our support and financial help for such a huge and important task.
