We are asking all DR’s / Office to help us kick off a new REALTOR charitable raffle in October / November to benefit Neighbor-to-Neighbor, a fund that offers one-time emergency stability help for local residents who are in economic distress. Administered by the Taconic Foundation, a small hand up can make a world of difference for those who are in immediate need. For the first six months of 2021, the fund supported 310 households in 23 Berkshire County towns with $172,500 granted for needs such as rent, utilities, food, transportation and medical expenses. The fund is supported by community donations and although usage is unusually high at the moment, they foresee that the effects of the pandemic will lead to continued increased level of need this year and next.
We would love to have an amazing raffle prize from your office – a monetary contribution to help underwrite this event would be great, so that we can make sure gifts are easy to deliver and so we can afford a few “big ticket” items to lure lots of raffle ticket buyers. (see recognition levels below) brokers, you can let us know and we can charge the credit card on file if that’s easiest! Alternatively, if you have access to a local business that you know and would like to support with a gift, we are happy to take gift cards too. Or use your connections from businesses that might not have been hit hard during COVID to get donations and we will blast the business names as sponsors as well.
