Our 2025 volunteer groups are kicking off in the next month and we’d love to have you take part!  Jump into a meeting to check it out and see if it is interesting to you, with no initial commitment and no pressure.  Committees are the heart beat of our community outreach and offer a fun and informative way to stay connected and engaged in your industry.  The following committees are open and accepting members:

  • Government Affairs / Advocacy – understand the legislative issues and priorities and strategize how to protect private property rights and housing access in the Berkshires. First Meeting 2/3/25 @ 9:30 a.m.
  • Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Fair Housing – Develop a plan to ensure we are outreaching to the entire Berkshire community for access to housing information. First meeting 2/3/25 @ 11 a.m.
  • REALTOR Party Grants and Community Outreach – Attend a western MA group luncheon 2/5 @ noon to discover the grants available for growth, government relations and more.
  • REALTOR Community Service – Fun, fabulous and going good work. Organize our community service and fundraising events. First Meeting 2/6/25 @ 11 a.m.
  • Town Liaisons for Real Estate – This group is being reenergized with training and information on how you can connect to your town in a stress-free but helpful way! Learn More
  • Statewide Professional Standards Committee – Training 1/28 With the hearing process moved to the state, MAR is always on the lookout for professionals who are willing to train for service!
  • Mediation / Ombudsman (Berkshires) – We are seeking interested parties for these roles, and will plan training if we have new volunteers interested in resolving REALTOR disputes!
  • One and Done – for those who want to be “on the list” of people we call to help out on one task!
  • New – Social Media and PR outreach! Help develop a social media and PR process and participate in content creation.
  • New – Affiliate Recruitment and Benefits – Help us develop a wider affiliate base – out lenders and lawyers are fantastic but lets broaden our outreach to the other pros you know – and make sure our service is a value to all with great benefits!
