Your Berkshire Board has taken the REALTOR® association safety pledge this week. Through NAR, we pledge to promote REALTOR® Safety in communications, media, governance, and action(s). We strive to ensure the safety of our members and the public. A few things as we gear up for safety month – how can we help you or your office improve safety? Tell Sandy! Office meeting materials? Office Visits? Safety posts? What can we do to help? Also, know that the MLS Board is considering a safety field in the MLS for disclosures of risk. We were also surprised to find a Safe Listings Form for your sellers. Not only does this one page form help remind your clients of precautions to take to secure valuables, but it also starts a conversation about preapproved or known buyer entry into their home. Check out the form. We will also be asking REALTORS to Step up for Safety in September and take the safety pledge.
REALTOR® Safety Pledge:
As a REALTOR®, my first priority is the well-being and safety of myself, my REALTOR® colleagues, the clients and customers we serve, and the business partners who foster our profession.
Therefore, I pledge to always conduct business and prospecting activities in a reasonably safe manner, which includes following the recommendations from the National Association of REALTORS® and adhering to the Safe Listings Form to the best of my ability.
I am committed to receive education and in turn to advise consumers and colleagues on best safety practices.
REALTORS® are committed to safety, and I take this pledge because I care about the wellbeing of myself, my clients and customers, my colleagues, and my profession.
