Thank you! As a result of a very successful Chili Cookoff; we were proud to donate $3,850 to the Berkshire Community Action Council’s Emergency Assistance Fund. This fund is used for fuel heating assistance and emergency housing or repairs for low income families.
Berkshire Community Action Council is involved in other projects this winter:
BCAC Holiday ELF Warm Clothing Drive. This is a 33-year signature program of the agency that sponsors more than 2000 children each year. “The Giving Trees” are located in the Berkshire Mall and North Adams Walmart. Please stop by to select the name(s) of children who are in need this year. You can also contact BCAC to help 413.445.4503.
Also, during the month of November the Berkshire Community Action Council and Village Ambulance are working together to help keep residents warm during the cold winter months. Donations of used, clean coats may be made at 85 Main Street, North Adams or 1531 East Street in Pittsfield, Monday – Friday
