Dear Realtors – A fund has been set-up for Mary Jane Dunlop at the Board Office, for those wishing to deliver cards and donations to help her during a very difficult time.  100% of the funds donated will be given to her to help with the short term needs.  For those that don’t know, Mary Jane is a broker-owner of Berkshire Access Realty, chair of our Charitable Taskforce REACT and VERY devoted member – and suffered a devastating week. First, the passing of her Mom on Friday.  Many know that Mary Jane has been spending many miles on the road to care for her ailing mother during the past year.  Coming home after making funeral arrangements in Connecticut, she was involved in a head-on collision on Holmes Road in Pittsfield.  She credits a seat-belt and many bystanders and first respondents for helping her survive the immediate aftermath of the crash. She was hit by an uninsured, unlicensed ‘borrowed” (stolen?) car. All of her mother’s mementos that she was bringing home were also destroyed in the accident.

She has been hospitalized since the accident, recovering from many, many broken bones.  In a sweet turn of events, her daughter who works in real estate in Seattle, was given a ticket by her company so that she was able to fly home and surprise MJ in the hospital – and will be able to help navigate her recovery and rehab. Because Mary Jane is such a giver – to our industry – other REALTORs and to our community, the outpouring has been amazing.  Our board has set up a fund for anyone who would like to donate to help her through this trying time.   We have so many well wishes from the attendees at the Legal Luncheon today and also have a nice start on the fund.  Please mail donations to our office made payable to the Berkshire Board of Realtors with Mary Jane in the memo, or call our office for credit card donations.  To send cards direct:
