A message from Chapin Fish, Brockman Real Estate: Dear fellow Berkshire Realtors,
I would like to let you know that Bill & Jack are together again, as they should be after 11 years of being apart. Bill passed peacefully in his sleep last Thursday evening. He was able to do so in his room, at Fiddletop, as he wanted.
At Bill’s request there will be no funeral, and not at Bill’s request there will be a memorial service later in September at Fiddletop. I have asked that the Jack Jefferson Memorial Fund be renamed after both of them, Founding Trustees of the Bidwell House Museum, and in lieu of flowers donations may gratefully be made in their memory.
Bill told me in 2011, several years after he retired and I took over “one benefit of the real estate business is meeting wonderful people and we made some incredible friendships in the last 30+ years. We had times of growth and fallow. It allowed us to live in the Berkshires, and that has been a privilege.”
No doubt many of those incredible friendships were with many of you, and past Realtors in the Berkshires. We all can agree that living here is indeed a privilege. I hope it brings a smile to your face, as it does mine, knowing Bill & Jack are together again.
Kind regards,
Chapin
