Dear Realtors,
We know you’re incredibly busy. This market is unlike anything we have ever seen. It’s been a challenge to properly represent clients with this surge in demand along with additional cleaning and safety precautions needed for safe showings.
I would like to share a reminder for those hot properties… We know that many listing agents are developing a showing plan with their seller to provide access to buyers (and their agents) at a set schedule of times for safe showings.
It is really important that the listing agent is conveying additional showing requests to their seller and, as has happened recently, to make sure the seller is aware if not all interested buyers have an opportunity to see the property because of such a high demand.
A seller should be making a FULLY INFORMED DECISION if the schedule can / should be expanded to accommodate all of the interested parties, or if they want to stop showings despite knowing there are other interested parties who didn’t get a chance to see the home (that’s ok too!). It is just important that the seller is informed and calling the shots.
Thank you for your attention and care. A little camaraderie and flexibility goes a long way during times like these. Let’s work together to help our clients and make the market work for all! That’s who we R!
Sandy
