The REALTOR Community Service Committee was thrilled to present our Battle of the Bartenders FUNdraising recipients with their ‘big checks’ at the Awards dinner on Friday, August 23rd at Proprietor’s Lodge.
Construct, Inc – $7,225: Jane Ralph, Executive Director joined us and happily accepted and thanked the REALTOR community for their support. Founded in 1969, Construct is the leading nonprofit provider of affordable housing and supportive services to residents in fifteen towns across the southern Berkshires. Construct is committed to providing affordable housing to strengthen and diversify communities, stabilize lives, and empower individuals to build a better future. Their mission is to change & save lives through housing options and a continuum of support services.
Berkshire County Kids’ Place – $12,285: For the last 30 years, Berkshire County Kids’ Place has been a safe place where help can begin for children who have experienced violence in their lives, either as victims of abuse or witnesses to domestic violence. They provide a caring, home-like atmosphere that coordinates the combined knowledge of law enforcement, social service, medical, prosecutorial, and mental health agencies to ensure an effective response to childhood trauma. It is their mission to help recognize the signs of abuse and help children make a comeback from the trauma they have experienced or witnessed. They also help the non-offending parent or family members handle the trauma. Michael DiCicco, a member of the Kids Place Board of Directors, accepted the check and thanked REALTORS for their generosity.
Berkshire Family and Individual Resources (BFAIR) – $8524: BFAIR is a national and state accredited human service agency responsive to the unique needs of people with disabilities and their families through a dedication to excellence, fiscal responsibility, diverse service options, community partnerships, safe and healthy environments and career opportunities and advancement. They strive to be the Berkshires premier service provider for persons with cognitive disabilities, autism and acquired brain injuries. We were honored to present a check to Michelle Baity, Senior VP of Human Resources.
