Just a reminder, as we prepare for election season with the falling of the leaves, we have a great client tool for you, while helping our community in the process. We know you want to stay in touch with their clients after a sale, to remain top of mind and generate those future referrals! With so many pesky move details, it would be incredibly helpful if their REALTOR followed up a few months after a sale to check in and remind them to update their voting registration. You could even plan to send this to all recent clients in the summer before primary and elections take place. We have designed this in many formats to be most effective for you!

Congratulations on your move. Your voice in your new community is important! Please remember to update your voter registration to reflect your new address. You can visit your town hall, but if you currently have a Massachusetts driver’s license or state ID card, you may use the online voter registration application to register, update your address, or change your party affiliation all from the Secretary of State’s website.
Note: If you move after the deadline to register to vote in a state election or primary, you should wait to update your registration until after the date of the election or primary, and return to vote at your previous polling place in Massachusetts. Massachusetts law allows you to vote from a previous address in a state election for up to six month after you have moved, as long as you have not registered elsewhere.
