On October 20, FBS will be releasing several changes to the option to “Send mail using my local e-mail client” on the E-mail Listings screen. The option will be relabeled and moved. Additionally, saving the setting will become more intuitive.

As before, selecting this option will bring up your computer’s email program (such as Microsoft Outlook or Mozilla Thunderbird) to send out the listings. The option will be relabeled “Send mail using my computer’s e-mail program” and located lower on the screen.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Note: Unless you use your computer’s e-mail program to send the listings, the listings will be sent to the selected recipients from your selected email address via flexmls. Replies to the email will be sent to the email address that you designated in flexmls. For more information on how e-mails are sent from flexmls click here.

 

 

 

If you choose to select the “Send mail using my computer’s e-mail program” option, you can set it as your default by clicking Save setting. Next time you send listings via e-mail, this will be your default setting. If you do not make any changes, you will not see the option to Save setting. To change the default, simply uncheck the option, then click the Save setting link that appears.

 

 

 

Once you have selected the option to send listings in the source using your computer’s e-mail program, click E-Mail at the bottom of the screen. Doing so should automatically bring up your e-mail program. If your email program doesn’t automatically open, click the Click here link or you can copy and past the text that appears into your mail program.
