Double Checking your Listings

Staff has done a sweep of public fields for language that might not align with the new rules, but we need your help to ensure compliance with the New NAR MLS Policy Statement 8.11 – No Offers of Compensation Offers in MLS:

The MLS must not accept listings containing an offer of compensation in the MLS to other MLS Participants and Subscribers.  Further, the MLS may not create, facilitate, or support any non-MLS mechanism (including by providing listing information to an internet aggregator’s website for such purpose) for Participants, Subscribers, or sellers to make offers of compensation to buyer brokers or other buyer representatives.  Use of MLS data or data feeds to directly or indirectly establish or maintain a platform of offers of compensation from multiple brokers to buyer brokers or other buyer representatives is prohibited and must result in the MLS terminating that Participant’s access to any MLS data and data feeds.

By August 17th, please MAKE SURE you do not have any attached document, video, photo, remarks or statement anywhere in the MLS that refers to compensation, directs to locations to find compensation information or has any information on compensation whatsoever.

See Something Say Something: If you happen to notice something that shouldn’t be in the MLS, please use the Report Violation” button or option on the listing. This will send a note (without your name) to the listing agent, and will send a duplicate to the MLS staff (with your name). That way we can all take care of it together, it’s not punitive initially, we are working to make sure all the data is good going forward and it is helpful if you see something you help us get it corrected.

To avoid termination of MLS access, please review your Active, Coming Soon, Contingent, Pending, and Temp Off Market listings to ensure compliance. Thank you!
