Did you know…ALL REALTORS must complete Code of Ethics training on a biennial basis, beginning January 1, 2017?
That means that ALL REALTORS must have that mandated education completed by December 31, 2018. The clock is ticking! This educational mandate is part of your duties as a member of the National Association of REALTORS. If you have not completed the course between January 1, 2017 and December 31st, you will become ineligible to receive membership benefits – including use of the Berkshire MLS. Don’t let this happen to you!
The Board Office is offering several live, classroom training sessions. Each of these satisfies the education mandate, will be held in the Board Office conference room, will be taught by Sue O’Brien, and has limited seating. If you’re interested in attending one of the following sessions, please register early! (Registration is required) Classes are FREE to Berkshire County Board of REALTORS members, and also qualifies as 2-hours of continuing education credit – meaning you can kill two birds with one stone.
- Thursday, August 16: 11:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
- Tuesday, September 18: 9:30 a.m. – Noon
- Thursday, October 25: 2:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- Tuesday, December 4: 11:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
To attend one of the sessions listed above
You also have the option of watching a recorded version of the Code of Ethics class through the Massachusetts Association of REALTORS online education center. Again, these classes are free as part of your membership benefit, and can be viewed at your convenience. They also offer 2-hours of CE credit. To register for a MAR recorded webinar, click here.
Or, you can register to attend a program through any certified, MA licensed school. To find a list of schools, please view here.
If you have already completed your education since January 1st at a school other than the Board Office, or if you take your education through MAR or a school other than the Board Office, please be sure to send a copy of your certificate of completion to staff so we may record your attendance with the National Association of REALTORS.
