The Berkshire Registries of Deeds are proud to offer a free notification tool, which alerts homeowners by email when a new document is recorded in their name.  If you own real estate in the Berkshires, you can create an account on Consumer Notification Service: Welcome and then register up to three properties.  This service is not available for commercial property.

If you receive an email alert about a new recorded document and you have made this change you do not to do anything.  If you did not initiate the recording, contact your local Registry of Deeds.  All victims of a scam should contact their local police department.

This is a fantastic service for your own use but should also be shared with your customers and clients, friends and family members.
