In case you missed it Friday, from the MAR: Please join us in urging the Governor to veto a proposal that would require expansive home inspection contingencies in real estate contracts. While we recommend using home inspections, we recognize that they are not a one-size-fits-all service. If this language is enacted, your clients will lose the ability to negotiate ANY aspect of inspections, including waiver, type, or timeline, regardless of impacts on the property, its occupants, or the transaction. It will harm the rights and negotiating powers of buyers and sellers and is likely to further decrease inventory. VETO INSPECTION MANDATES. Questions?
