Every year our REALTOR community has helped provide warm winter clothing for children in need in Berkshire County through the Berkshire Community Action Council.  We have signed up to do so again this year.  This program is for the Holiday Season, and is intended to provide only warm, winter clothing.  (Children receive toys and other gifts from separate organizations.)  Here’s the basics:

We will provide you with the name, ID#, needs and sizes for your child(ren).  BCAC asks that you purchase what you are comfortable with.  You do not need to purchase every item on the child’s list.  Please place your gift(s) in a gift bag (wrapping is optional), and place the Holiday Program card on the outside of the bag.  (The Board Office will provide this to you.)  It is essential that accurate information for each child be placed on each item, or bundled package.

Drop off of gifts is at the BCAC office – 1531 East Street, Pittsfield, by Friday, December 7th.

This is a non-funded program run by BCAC staff and many volunteers.  If you are unable to purchase items but would like help, monetary donations are gratefully accepted.  These donations will help purchase gifts for children who have not been matched with a sponsor.  Please make checks payable to BCAC with a note in the memo for Warm Clothing Program and mail to: 1531 East Street, Pittsfield, MA 01201.
