The ideal nominee is an unsung hero within the real estate profession who supports other industry practitioners through actions, words and cooperation. Recipients are known for their willingness to go above and beyond in support of the association and the members. The Selection Committee considered those known and respected for their optimism and enthusiasm, integrity and work ethic, and civic involvement, charitable contributions, and leadership in the local business community. Pam has worked diligently to further the missions of the Board and the MLS serving in the capacities over the years as MLS President ushering us through unprecedented COVID years, Contract & Forms Committee Chair, Personnel Chair as well as serving on various other committees and in director positions. She was awarded the REALTOR of the Year in both 2021 and 2002. This demonstrates her consistent, honored service to the association and its efforts. She is always willing and happy to share her expertise in committee discussions, member meetings and one-on-one with other agents whether in the midst of a transaction or when called upon with a question. Her cheerful attitude and optimistic spirit have helped many an agent along the way. She is frequently asked to chair important committees during times of transition, such as the Contract and Forms committee and Personnel Committee. She has valued input on the board of directors and always has a thoughtful and measured approach to dealing with policy, procedure and strategic decision making.
Level-headed and professional, Pam has a solid reputation for knowing this business and helping to share that knowledge with others. When asked, “Who is a REALTOR you always appreciate having on the other side of a deal?” The overwhelming response was “Pam Roberts!” Pam’s professionalism is helpful in transactions that go smoothly, but it’s her skill and practicality that help when challenges arise. Pam also participates in several non-REALTOR committees and supports non-profit organizations in Berkshire County, always putting a happy and professional face to the REALTOR name.
She serves as a Trustee at Berkshire Community College and serves on the college’s Foundation Board. She is past president and Asst. Treasurer of the Zonta Club of Berkshire County and serves on the Board of Berkshire Financial Services. She was a longtime member of the town’s Finance Committee and a member of the Advisory Board of the Berkshire Sanctuaries of MA Audubon. She is the parent of two grown sons. She enjoys gardening, birdwatching, hiking the Berkshires and beyond and spending time with her five grandchildren and her two Boykins. An accomplished athlete, she has been a competitive distance runner for over three decades, completing 24 marathons and continuing to organize the Annual Turkey Trot Road Races in Gt. Barrington each Thanksgiving.
