A new feature in our REcap this year will be a weekly spotlight of our elected leaders.  We want you to get to know the volunteers who have devoted their time and talents to serve our industry and our members.  First up, is President Jason (Jay) Nocher, our fearless leader of the Board of REALTORS Board of Directors. Jay is Broker/Owner of Nocher Realty in Adams, Pittsfield and Great Barrington.  Jay has served on the Board of Directors for several years, served on several MLS Task Forces for Land and Commercial property listings, and served on the Personnel, Finance, Professional Standards and Nominating Committees.  He is a Town Monitor, a DR liaison and traveled to Washington DC to represent the board at the 2022 midyear legislative meetings.  He was awarded the C2EX certification as well as the FairHaven certification.

Professionally, Jay opened Nocher Realty in 2018 with his wife Jennifer.  Jason understands real estate is not simply an investment but a sense of security and accomplishment for most homeowners. He values building lasting relationships.   Jason enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 daughters, hiking, camping, & fishing. He enjoys overseeing his own real estate investments, carpentry and rehabbing distressed property.
