The Berkshire County Board of REALTORS Good Neighbor is pleased to announce that recipient Tom Doyle has been named Good Neighbor for his community and charitable work in the Berkshires.
In Tom’s words, “I am especially proud of the work as a Board Member of Community Development Corporation of South Berkshire (“CDCSB”). The mission to create affordable housing in the Berkshire region is pretty high on the list for major undertakings. The latest project under development by CDCSB is called Bentley Apartments in Great Barrington. Here is a link to this specific project: https://cdcsb.org/what-we-do/affordable-housing/100-bridge/
More information in general can be found at cdcsb.org.
Recently, I participated in a radio interview to assist the CDCSB in getting the message out for the Community Investment Tax Credits which is a great benefit to anyone looking to support the mission of CDCSB and receive direct reductions in the donor’s MA tax liability. Here is the link to that interview: https://cdcsb.org/news/cdcsb-in-the-news-with-wsbs/
For the CDCSB, I have been an active solicitor for benefit events. One of the most visible is the Community At Bat event that brings together local dignitaries and community members to play a game of softball in the Fall to raise additional support for the work of CDCSB.
In addition to the above, my ongoing support and involvement with Grace Church, an Episcopal Community in the Southern Berkshires is a proud one. Two of the community causes supported are Gideon’s Garden for youth located at Taft Farm in Great Barrington and the Berkshire Immigrant Center located in Pittsfield.”
