Did you know that by December 31, 2016 all REALTORS, regardless of the renewal date on your real estate license, must complete their required Quadrennial Code of Ethics training? That means, at some point between Jan 1, 2013 and Dec 31, 2016 you must have taken the 2.5 hour Real Estate Brokerage Professional Ethics for Residential and Commercial Real Estate Brokerage program.
To facilitate completion of the program by the end of next year, the Board Office will begin to offer this class via webinar and during our live, classroom style training. The training offered through the Board provides 2 continuing education credits, as well. The first of these offerings will be a webinar on Monday, September 21st from 6:00 – 8:30 p.m. Register Here.
We will also offer the first of our live classroom training on Wednesday, November 18th from 2:00 – 4:30 p.m. You can register here for the live event. Seating in our classroom is limited, advanced registration is required.
You will also find opportunities throughout the year in 2016 to take either webinar or classroom training through the Board Office. Please watch for announcements in upcoming Recaps. Additionally, pre-recorded training can be taken on the National Association of REALTORS website: www.realtor.org at any time of day or night. However, this training does not provide any continuing education credits.
You can check on the member portal to see if you have taken this training within the last 4 years. The Board Office tracks all training taken through us, and Quadrennial Code of Ethics training taken from other schools or through realtor.org, if you have forwarded a copy of your certificate of completion. If you take, or have taken, the training through a school other than the Board Office, and you have not done so alredy, please forward your certificate of completion so we can update your record and notify the National Association that you are in compliance. Thank you!
