Want to Attract Relocating Business to the Berkshires?

Thanks to Nat Karns of the Berkshire Regional Planning Commission and MassEcon for sharing this commercial opportunity to potentially attract relocating businesses. Whenever you are planning a move, it is necessary to make sure everything goes perfectly according to agreed schedule as delays are no good for business development. Here is the letter for Real Estate Developers, Brokers, and Municipal Officials describing ReadyMass 100:

As part of a comprehensive marketing program in partnership with the Commonwealth, MassEcon is reaching out to the real estate development and brokerage community to identify key real estate assets. These are properties that reflect a high level of marketability and will attract prospective companies and site selectors to consider Massachusetts as an expansion location. To this end, we are asking each of you to review your portfolio of existing land sites and buildings for potential inclusion in this program.  Properties selected as a ReadyMass 100 property will be:

  • Highlighted on the ReadyMass 100 website. This on-line resource, backed up by robust location information, is promoted to the national and local site selection community
  • Given priority status in matching companies’ real estate needs through MassEcon’s Site Selection Service
  • Promoted at selected receptions with corporate real estate advisers and industry roundtables
  • Highlighted as Success Stories when leased or occupied

Please view this application in terms of presenting the best sites to a high profile company visiting Massachusetts for the first time. The minimum criteria for screening candidates are here, with a strong emphasis on readiness.  If your property meets the minimum criteria, please complete the electronic form on our web site. You can submit more than one property, but a separate form should be completed for each.

We have assembled an advisory committee made up of real estate, permitting, and land use professionals that will screen each of the submitted properties in March. In order for your property to be included in the March screening session, please submit your property by March 9th, 2016.

Please contact Doug Kehlhem if you have any questions in advance at (617) 924-4600 x12. If your property is selected for inclusion in the ReadyMass100, a  $250 annual fee per property will be collected to cover the costs of the program.

Thank you for your time and effort in this process.  http://massecon.com/services/readymass100/apply-list-property/
