Corey Bishop Named 2022 Berkshire Good Neighbor Award Recipient.

The Berkshire Good Neighbor Award is given to a REALTOR who has played an instrumental volunteer role in the success of any local civic, charitable, cultural, youth or school group project or program. The recipient is someone who has shown an extraordinary commitment to volunteer service that has helped make our community a better place to live.    We are happy to present this award to Corey Bishop for all of his volunteer work, especially in the Berkshire community.

As a past Rotary President, Corey embodies the “service above self” philosophy in working to provide a better life for others.  When his children were young, he found a home in helping on various sporting teams as coach, cheerleader, fundraiser and ultimately leader.  His leadership positions include fundraising events, Board of Directors, Booster Club, League President, and many other positions throughout the years.

Corey’s service for youth sports is diverse and extensive: the Adams Cheshire Soccer League, The Adams Little League, The Adams PAL Basketball League (House & Travel), The Berkshire Mountaineers AAU Basketball Team, Hoosac Valley Basketball, Boys & Girls (Currently Active with Boys), Hoosac Valley Baseball, Hoosac Valley Softball, Hoosac Valley Golf, The Adams Lassie League (Current President) and The Greylock Thunder Travel Softball League (Current President)

He served on the Adams Conservation Commission as the Vice Chairman for 7 years where he assisted in protecting state and federal environmental laws and guidelines while working with homeowners, residential and commercial developers and was also instrumental with the redevelopment of the Greylock Glen.  He also served as a Town Meeting Member for the Town of Adams for 5 years

As a member of the Society of Exchange Counselors a National 1031 Exchange and Equity Marketing organization Corey has served on many levels including the Board of Governors, while his current position is Production Chairman. He is an elected director of the Board of Directors for the Berkshire County MLS and currently serving as an instructor for the Home Builders Association of Western Mass.

We are happy to recognize and honor this outstanding good Neighbor for our community and especially the youth in northern Berkshire.
