Your Voice, Your Business

You can help shape how Realtors are seen in the community, meet great people to develop your business network and have fun while you learn more about our community and our industry.  We welcome everyone to take part in the activities of the board – If you want your voice heard, this is where it happens.  Jump in now as groups are just getting started to see if it’s a good fit, or sign up to be on our one-and-done call list for new projects that require no ongoing commitment.  Click To Get Involved: Consider these focus areas:

  • Affiliate Ambassador Committee – Expand our affiliate member base and make sure we are providing opportunity and outstanding benefits to our existing members.
  • Realtor Community Service – Show our REALTOR pride in our community through fundraising, service
  • Inclusion and Fair Housing Outreach – Make sure the community has access to resources and information that enable equal and inclusive access to housing in our region.
  • Housing Advocacy & Outreach – Local rules and policy shape the housing market. Development of affordable housing and protection of private property rights are critical to our residents and our business. Learn what is happening in the Berkshires, the state and the nation to guide the board in action.  Stay dialed into local decisions, advocate for change when needed and be a business connection with the community and board.
  • MLS Emerging Task Forces – Formed as needed, we have 3 that are just getting started and described below. We will also have more as the year goes on.
  • One and Done special volunteer service as it comes up!
  • South County Tour – Dana Fuchs, the volunteer south county broker tour coordinator will be seeking a small team to work to refine this benefit for sellers.

Specifically, MLS President Dani Giulian is forming 3 special workgroups to help the MLS Board make good decisions –

  1. MLS Product Integration – a group that will look at vendors who want to integrate with FlexMLS to give members more options and easier access to outside services (like rental management, website development, CMA Showing Services, for examples.
  2. Commercial and Lease fields and forms – For Commercial brokers, this group is continuing from last year and charged with updating fields in the MLS to better serve those markets, Examine data syndication of commercial, lease or rental properties, reexamine forms or contract needs.
  3. Policy Workgroup – This is a specialty group that understands existing policy and has eagle eyes to spot differences, typos and likes to find perfect words to make intentions clear. This group is reviewing our current policies to make sure it’s throughout and consistent with how we do business after a year of many practice changes.
