Interesting start of the year for the real estate market. Affordability is improving, but nationwide, January’s pending home sales indicate buyers are largely staying on the sidelines. Is it weather or something else? As mortgage rates move closer to 6%, NAR research indicates more buyers may be able to qualify for a mortgage, which could begin to draw demand back into the market.
