Delete Home Photos Off the Internet – NOT the MLS!

REMINDER: If a new buyer wants their home photos OFF THE INTERNET, please do NOT delete photos (or ask a listing agent) from the MLS! Removing the listing photos from the MLS does NOT achieve the owner’s ultimate goal of removing them from online services, but it does make the MLS far less valuable for REALTORs and appraisers! Flex created a simple way to help satisfy the owner’s request for privacy while maintaining the integrity of the service. Listing agents can edit photos in MLS, and when clicking the “select” button, you can mark all photos except for the primary photo as private, or set it so the photos will automatically be private while off-market (sold, withdrawn, expired, etc).  The board office staff can assist in take down notices for Realtor.com, and the rest will be automatically removed when you follow these simple procedures!

Marking photos private will allow other agents to see them when logged into Flex, but will remove them from syndication sites, IDX feeds, internet displays and anything that is distributed outside of the MLS. Perfect solution! Brokers and appraisers can still see historical condition of the property, but the owner’s privacy is protected as much as possible.  You should also note that Flex has built this same privacy option for the videos you have created!
