Linda is putting out a friendly reminder as she has seen several data entry errors concerning the list date of active property entered into the MLS.  Please remember, the list date is based off of the last seller signature date on your Exclusive Right to Sell Contract.  For example, seller 1 signs and dates the contract on 9/9 and seller 2 signs and dates the contract on 9/10.  September 10th becomes the list date when doing the data entry.

The list date is not based on when the Broker signs the contract and is not based on when the data entry is done.

[The only exception to this rule is when there is a delayed dissemination addendum – in this instance, the list date is the date the contract entry has been delayed to.]
