Michael Rauber, manager of advocacy communications at the National Association of REALTORS® shared our local importance in making the bipartisan 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act a success. While the legislation was written at the federal level, what happens next is decided in state capitals and city/town halls. Berkshire REALTORS can make a lasting impact in their communities!
States and municipalities will be responsible for carrying out many of the provisions supported by NAR. This will include updating existing housing programs, meeting new compliance requirements and preparing for future federal funding opportunities intended to encourage housing production.
This is another call to action for you to step up and volunteer to serve as a town monitor, (more info) bringing town issues to the Board and bringing towns the resources we have regarding housing data and adoption. It’s a small commitment with a BIG impact!
