Energy Audit / Scoring Remains Optional for Homeowners

Victorious!  Hopefully you’ve heard the news that we defeated a proposal in the Massachusetts Legislature that would require homeowners to have Mass Save Energy Audits in order to sell their home.   Thanks to the advocacy of Realtors® throughout the state for this victory.  The Berkshire REALTORS stepped up to the plate with over 90 members (27%) responding to our call to action, and many, many more making calls and sending personal emails to our state Senator Ben Downing.  We also thank everyone who shared our message with their network of friends, family and clients (we take a little credit for some of the additional 639 responses that were from non-Members) for spreading the word… the Berkshire engagement on this issue was a statewide high.  THANK YOU! Please remember, energy efficiency is extremely important and all Realtors® should advise their clients of the benefits of voluntary energy programs included Mass Save.
