E-mail Signature Scams, Video Calls – We are not opening!

Just a heads up that we continue to receive reports of REALTORS getting requests (text and email) for zoom or virtual meetings that contain bogus links, and when click, download malware onto the device. Be very cautious about requests for virtual appointments without more information to provide some security. [original scam post]

Also rethink about getting started with Forewarn, your REALTOR safety member benefit, if you haven’t already.  It’s worth it to establish a safety practice that becomes routine to help combat some of the worry. [link to Forewarn info]

Finally, we are receiving a TON of emails asking us to click a link to “review a document” “A document is available for your review and signature.” or “Adobe Settlement confirmation” or “Payment Confirmation”. All bogus. So many scams.  We will NOT be opening links unless you have a very clear description for what the attachment or link is. A document without explanation will be deleted, so sorry but we operate with heightened security on our systems and require staff compliance due to the level of information on our computers, including your credit card numbers. We cannot take chances because you were in a hurry. Thank you so much for understanding. Stay safe out there!
