Located at 316 State Road, the site will be comprised of three building complexes, each with 3 or 4 townhouse-style units to fit well in the neighborhood, situated to encourage community. All units will be energy efficient approaching net zero. A solar array on the rooftops will contribute to energy savings..

  • 5 units will be subsidized for households of 30-50% of median income.
  • 6 units will be for households of 60% of median income.
  • 2 of the units will be ADA accessible and 2 modified for those with sensory impairment.
  • Priority will be given to households coming out of homelessness, living with mental health or developmental disabilities.

Amenities on the site: Families will be invited to share the community garden to grow their own food and flowers. Nearby, children will have a safe area for playing, with sand box and swings. The residential space will be situated on the flat of the land, with a path leading up the mountainside to a spot where one can sit for quiet contemplation or birding, with walking trails for exploring and recreation. Landscaped with native plants, evergreens and fruit trees, the site will be pleasing to the eye while also providing apples, pears, and berries to families in residence.

Accessible to town center: Forest Springs is within an easy walk to Route 7 and shopping in either direction. An agreement with the BRTA will also allow for on-call bus pick-up and drop-off at the project for those without vehicles.
