Can you be a Holiday Elf this year?

The Berkshire Community Action Council (BCAC) runs an annual Holiday Elf Program, which provides warm winter clothing for children of low income families.  REACT is partnering again this year with BCAC as a resource for volunteers to obtain the first name of children and their clothing needs / sizing.

The basics:  Families on this list have been vetted by BCAC and qualify for their low-income programs.  Only clothing needs are listed on the child’s informational sheet.  The goal of the BCAC program is the basic need of warm winter clothing.  (But, don’t fret, families are referred to like organizations who provide toys for the holiday!)  The Board Office will send you the name(s), age(s) and identification number of a child(ren) with details about their sizing, and any special requests or needs (i.e., really needs mittens, favorite color, etc.).  You can decide to purchase based on your own desire…an item or two, or the whole shebang.  Your gift items do not need to be wrapped, should be gathered together into a bag (or two, or three!) and labeled with the child’s ID#, then dropped off at the BCAC office at 1531 East Street, Pittsfield, no later than December 17th.

Anyone interested in sponsoring a child, or children, please contact Sue:  sue@berkshirerealtors.org.

Thank you!!
