Berkshire REALTORS Partner with Berkshire United Way by Adopting Book House

Book Houses are accessible to Berkshire County families 24/7.  They give families the opportunity to pick up or drop off free books any time of day or night, all year long, even when schools and libraries are closed, and will be installed in participating towns throughout the County.  The Berkshire County Board of REALTORS has ‘adopted’ a Book House.  We are responsible for ensuring that the Book House is stocked with children’s books and cared for.

Please donate a book to the cause!  Books can be gently used.  Hardcover is best but we will gratefully accept paperback books too.  Any books that are written on, badly torn or outdated cannot be used.  We’re in need of books for babies through middle-school aged children.  Please no adult books, encyclopedias or text books.

Drop off can be made to the Board Office located at 99 West Street, Ste 200 (TD Builiding on the corner of West & Center Streets).  We will accept books on a continual basis but do need a stock by May 20th.  If you are able to bring a book in before then we’d be very grateful.

Any questions, please contact Paula McLean or Sue O’Brien.

Thank you!!
